Director and Cinematographer Marc Wishengrad founded wishpic to make films that witness people on their journeys towards physical, emotional and spiritual wellness – with a focus on a diversity of indigenous and traditional healing approaches.

As a cinematographer, Marc Wishengrad has worked on award-winning, features, commercials, documentaries, short films, music videos and television programs. Awards include HDfest’s “deffie” – best cinematography for a HD short “The Curse of Micah Rood,” and an Emmy nomination for Discovery Channel’s “Trauma Life in the ER” – documenting helicopter rescues and the tension of the Emergency Room.

“The Healing World” is a documentary that exemplifies wishpic’s mission, and draws on a a growing body of archival footage. Over the past decade Marc Wishengrad has been filming cultural ceremonies and places of natural beauty from his travels throughout the world.

Currently in production, “Fernando Bermudez is Innocent” documents the case of wrongfully-accused Fernando Bermudez who has recently been fully exonerated after being incarcerated for 18 years.

Other projects in production include a film about the healing power of homeopathy produced in partnership with Blind Dog Films.

A mainstay of wishpic’s work has been the production of fund-raising and training films over the past 13 years for New York Presbyterian Hospital.
